This is my first ever Fox design and I wanted to create it in brown transferware as I had a lovely old chipped plate that would be perfect to use. The plate has dancers and musicians in a scene which felt fitted in well as this was a commission for a wedding anniversary present. I’ve also put in other shards with more animals into the design including a leaping deer and a boar near the eye. Foxes can have a dark patch around the eye which I’ve also tried to incorporate into the design and really helps the eye stand out more.

This Fox was designed and created in a fairly short space of time so was a really good challenge for me. It really is the quick brown fox and I’m very pleased with its finished look.
